Parcels sent outside of the EU may be subject to customs charges and import duties; these charges are made when the parcel reaches the destination country and therefore you are responsible for paying for the applicable import charges, taxes, and customs duties. There is a £25.00 import clearance surcharge for countries outside of the EU (e.g. Switzerland).
