A traditional Eastern dish, this helps to nourish the lungs and stops cough, clears the heart and calms the mind/nerves, nourishes yin, strengthens the spleen and stops diarrhea, nourishes the kidney and solidifies the essence, detoxifies, and diuretics.
Ingredients
200g rice

25g Dried Lily Bulb

50g Lotus Seeds

50g Green Mung Beans
20g rock sugar
Directions
Wash the rice with water, as well as the lily bulbs then cut them into small pieces. Wash the lotus seeds.
Boil the right amount of water in a pot, add the rice, lotus seeds and mung bean. Bring to the boil.
Turn the hob onto a medium-heat, then cook the mixture for around half an hour.
After this time, add the lily bulb and rock sugar then bring to the boil.
Once this has boiled, remove from the heat and allow to stand for 3 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!

Mung bean: Mung bean is rich in nutrients and has the functions of increasing appetite, lowering blood lipids, lowering cholesterol, anti-allergic, detoxifying, and protecting the liver.
