A firm vegan favourite, this herbal broth combines aromatic ingredients in ginger root, orange peel and spring onions as part of a healthy bowl of natural goodness...
Ingredients
8 spring onions / 2 large leeks (your choice)

2 cups dried ginger root
-
2 cups dried orange peel
White or black ground pepper (to taste)
Pinch of garlic (optional)
Directions
Prepping the Ingredients
Cut off the green leaves of the leeks and chop into quarters lengthways / Cut off the spring onion stems into halves
Wash the ginger root (keep the skin on) and then cut into 10 slices.
Making the Broth
Combine all ingredients into a pan whilst adding 3 cups of cold water and boil.
Once the water has boiled, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes (until there is around one cup of liquid left).
Sprinkle a pinch of white/black ground pepper and stir in.
Once this has been stirred in, stop cooking and transfer the broth into a bowl.
Serve and enjoy!
