What You'll Need

  • 5g astragalus root 
  • 5g Chinese yam 
  • Handful of goji berries
  • Pot of boiling water
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Rinse and drain the herbs to remove dirt and residue
  2. Boil the pot of water over a high heat, then add all herbs into the mixture
  3. Allow to simmer over a low heat for 15-20 minutes 
  4. Once this time has elapsed, add salt to taste 
  5. Mix for a further 5 minutes then remove from heat 
  6. Serve and enjoy! 

2) Astragalus Immunity Tea

A couple of sips away from feeling euphoric, this herbal tea is a juicy and balanced drink best enjoyed in the evening.  

Here's how to create this beautiful blend... 

What You'll Need

  • 2 tbsp dried astragalus root
  • 1 tbsp dried ginger root 
  • 1/8 tsp dried orange peel
  • Touch of honey 
  • Pot of water (for boiling)

Method

  1. Simmer the astragalus, ginger and orange peel in a pot on low heat for around 20 minutes (make sure to cover the pot)
  2. Turn off the heat and allow to steep for a further 20 minutes
  3. Strain the water and discard the astragalus and ginger roots (keep the orange peel if you wish)
  4. Add a touch of honey to the mix and stir for 1 minute
  5. Transfer to a cup, then serve and enjoy!

3) Jujube, Ginseng & Astragalus Soup

What You'll Need

  • 3 big jujube dates 
  • 5g astragalus root
  • 5g dang gui 
  • Handful of goji berries (if extra sweetness required)
  • Touch of honey 
  • Pot of water

Method

Method

  4. Select the 'blend well' function
