About

Ba Ji Tian is the dried root of Morinda officinalis, carefully selected for its authenticity and adherence to traditional DaoDi quality standards. This herb is meticulously sourced and processed to preserve its natural integrity, providing a clean, consistent cut suitable for professional herbal use.

Known in English as Morinda root, Ba Ji Tian grows in the warm southern provinces of China, with Guangdong and Guangxi long regarded as its traditional growing regions. The root is lifted, cleaned and dried before processing, and its appearance is distinctive: knotted, beaded lengths that give it the informal name "string of beads" root.

This product is supplied in concentrated granule form and is processed under strict GMP certification. The raw material is cultivated in traditional regions according to DaoDi principles, without synthetic herbicides or pesticides, and dried without sulphur to ensure purity and quality.

Traditional Classification

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, herbs are described by their temperature, flavour and the meridians they are associated with rather than by any single active compound. Ba Ji Tian is classified as follows:

  • Nature: warm
  • Flavour: sweet and pungent
  • Meridians: kidney and liver
  • Category: yang tonic

It sits within the group of herbs traditionally described as warming and strengthening, and in classical practice it is almost always combined with others rather than used alone.

Preparing Concentrated Granules

Concentrated granules are made by simmering the raw herb, filtering the liquid, then drying it into a soluble powder that is formed into granules. The result dissolves in hot water within seconds, so there is no soaking, simmering or straining.

  1. Measure out the amount specified by your practitioner.
  2. Add hot water.
  3. Stir until fully dissolved.
  4. Drink while warm.

Because granules are concentrated, the flavour is considerably stronger than a light herbal tea. Follow your practitioner's guidance on quantity rather than measuring by eye.

Storage

Keep the bottle sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Granules absorb moisture readily, so replace the lid promptly and avoid using a wet spoon.

Why Choose Vita?

At Vita Herbal Nutrition, we are committed to providing the highest quality herbs, carefully selected and prepared without compromise.

Our herbs are 100% free from sulphur treatment. Sulphur is widely used in the industry to improve appearance and extend shelf life, but it alters the natural composition of the herb and may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.

We source only DaoDi-grown Chinese herbs from clean, sustainable environments. Our long-standing relationships with growers allow us to select material from its ideal growing region, harvested at the right time.
